Weight Lifting 365 - Now For The Young

weight lifting 365
Weight training has been for years a safe and desirable form of exercise for adults, both for men and women. It is now beginning to appeal to the current generation of youth as an exercise to improve their fitness, enhance sports performance, and for health improvement.

There are many documented studies concerning the effect of weight training on adults but little research has been done on the benefits of weight training for youths. Research on the effect of weight training on children and teenagers in various areas of training has dramatically increased in the last few years.

Although it is widely believed that weight training can be bad for children, it has now been documented that weight training for youngsters is safe and effective. There is now wide spread acceptance of weight training for youngsters by medical and fitness professionals.

It is recognized that young people need to be physically active at an early age. A physical lifestyle in young people helps to develop their personality and lifestyle as they move into adulthood. It has also been shown that an active lifestyle when growing up will result in better health later on in life.

Then start with light weights and don't overtrain....
